They are both enjoyable mixes, it just depends on the person. Even though I much preferred the initial flavor of the Gardettos, I didn't like how quickly that flavor tapered off compared to the Chex Mix. The Chex is a little more consistent, whereas the Gardettos don't waste any time.

You know those dark brown little chips in Gardettos? They're just little spiced pieces of dried rye bread. We made a couple tweaks like using Gardetto's toast pieces in the recipe instead of toasting our own bread.
