Connecting to an Android or Samsung phone


How to pair your Galaxy Watch to your Android phone.

1Download the Galaxy Wearable app from the Google Play Store

2Open the Galaxy Wearable app on your phone, tap Start the Journey then select Galaxy Watch

3Your phone will now start searching for your Galaxy Watch. Once it finds it, you will see a passkey displayed on both your Galaxy Watch and your smartphone. Tap OK on both devices.

4The app will now pair your Galaxy Watch with your smartphone. Once it's finished, you'll be able to view the How to Use feature.
(Make sure you agree to the T&C's when they come up)

Connecting to an iPhone

How to pair your Galaxy Watch to youriOS phone.

1Download the Galaxy Wearable app from the iOS App Store

2Open the Galaxy Wearable app on your phone. Tap Start the Journey then select Galaxy Watch.
Once it’s found your Galaxy Watch, tap Connect. When the request appears, tap Pair.

3If your Galaxy Watch doesn’t show up on your phone, check Bluetooth is on the Galaxy Watch and that it’s not connected to any other phones.

4Review and tap Agree to the options, then tap Done. Your Galaxy Watch is now connected to the Galaxy Wearable app on your phone.

5Now you’re all set. You can either follow the tutorial instructions on your Galaxy Watch or Skip

Connecting to a Wi-Fi network

PLEASE NOTE: that if your Galaxy Watch is connected to your phone via Bluetooth, the Wi-Fi will automatically be turned off.

You can manually connect to a Wi-Fi network, using the steps below.

4Tap Wi-Fi

To manually connect to a Wi-Fi network, the Wi-Fi must be set to Always on.

To manually connect to a Wi-Fi network using your watch, the Wi-Fi setting must be set to Always on.

5Tap Wi-Fi again if it shows Auto or Always off. If it is set to Always on, skip to step 8

Adding an app

To add an app to your Galaxy Watch, you will need to:

8Certain apps require you to install an associated app on your connected device. Ensure you've installed this app on your phone before continuing, then tap OK

Removing an app

To remove an app, you will need to:

3Tap the remove icon above the app you'd like to uninstall

Setting up Email

PLEASE NOTE: that you will need to use the Galaxy Wearable app to set up an Email account on your Galaxy Watch.

To set up an Email account on the Galaxy Watch, you will need to:

1From the home screen, choose Apps or swipe up to access your apps

2Open the Samsung Wearable app on your phone

This can be found in the Samsung folder if it was pre-installed. If you can't find it in the Samsung folder, you may need to tap add apps before proceeding. Otherwise, you can download it from the Play Store or from the Galaxy Apps. For more information on how to download an app, please visit How do I manage my apps.

Depending on your device, you may automatically be taken to your Emails providers sign in page.

Set date and time

PLEASE NOTE: that if your watch is connected to a mobile device, the date and time will be set automatically. You can only manually set the date and time if you're using the watch without connecting it to a mobile device.

Installing and setting up Spotify

Follow the below steps to install Spotify on your Galaxy Watch:

1To install Spotify, rotate the bezel on your Galaxy Watch until you're on Galaxy Apps, then select Apps.

2Select Entertainment, then tap Spotify

3Tap Install, and accept the permission request by tapping the tick

4Once Spotify is installed on your Galaxy Watch, make sure it's also installed on your smartphone (head to the Google Play Store or App store and follow the instructions) and you'll be good to go.
